Coordinated models, clash detection, and digital sequencing used to resolve conflicts before they become field problems — and to plan the work rather than only to draw it.
A clash found in the model costs an hour of somebody's time. The same clash found in the field costs a crew standing around, a redesign, and usually a change order — and it is discovered by the person least able to fix it.
We run trade coordination before the subcontractors are on site, and we use the same model to sequence the work rather than treating it as a drawing exercise. Where a model earns its keep on our jobs is underground: routing site utilities against a coordinated model is how a self-perform crew avoids finding out about a conflict with a shovel.
